1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Accessible Org ("the Service"), operated by The Accessible Org ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Accessible Org is a document accessibility platform that converts PDF files into WCAG-compliant HTML with features including semantic heading structure, MathML equation conversion, AI-generated image descriptions, and structured data tables. The Service is designed for higher education institutions, disability services teams, and accessibility professionals.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@accessiblepdf.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload documents you do not have the right to process
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all ownership rights to documents you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your documents solely for the purpose of providing the accessibility conversion service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use your documents for any purpose other than delivering the Service.
The Service itself, including its software, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of The Accessible Org and is protected by copyright and other laws.
7. Payment and Billing
Certain features of the Service require payment. Free tier usage is subject to monthly limits. Paid plans are billed according to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for accuracy in accessibility conversions, we do not guarantee that converted documents will meet all accessibility requirements for every use case. Final compliance responsibility remains with the document publisher.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Accessible Org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
